Futsal Futures: Increasing Employability

After an excellent start to Futsal Futures, we are looking to increase the number of players taking part in the programme, to bolster our squad to take part in fixtures in Coventry and surrounding areas. The project is running in Coventry city centre and is aimed at unemployed 19+ year olds who have a passion for football and are keen to boost their opportunity of securing employment in a sociable, flexible and fun environment.

Director Joe Graham said:

"The project is all about developing skills and positive habits for people to become ready for sustainable employment. Seeing the change in some of the group in the last few months has been incredibly rewarding, and we know there are so many people out their that would love this opportunity. Some of them weren't too sure what Futsal was at first, but most of them now prefer it to the 11-aside game."

The project has been funded by both the European Social Fund and the Heart of England Community Foundation, which allows us to offer FREE access to those who meet the above criteria!

The project started on Monday 6th October, 2014 and will run every Monday and Thursday from 1pm till 4pm.

Participants will have the opportunity to train and receive coaching from experienced players and coaches, play friendly and competitive fixtures and have access to workshops such as CV writing and interview skills.
